Chromebook Use Agreement

By using this device, you agree to follow Vernon Parish Schools’ Student Acceptable Use Policy (AUP).

💻 Use It for Learning

  • Chromebooks are for schoolwork only. Follow your teacher’s directions.
  • Keep your passwords private. Never log in as someone else or share your device.

🔒 Be Safe & Respectful

  • Use kind, respectful language online. Report cyberbullying or unsafe content to a teacher.
  • Do not visit or share inappropriate websites, images, or messages.
  • Do not text, message, or email staff from personal accounts (required by Louisiana R.S. 17:81(Q)).

🧰 Take Care of Your Chromebook

  • Handle your Chromebook carefully and keep it secure at all times.
  • Bring your Chromebook to school fully charged each day.
  • Use only the school-approved charger and accessories.
  • Keep food and drinks away from your Chromebook.
  • Do not remove labels, stickers, or asset tags.
  • Report lost, stolen, or damaged devices immediately.

🔐 Your Privacy

  • Your Chromebook and accounts belong to Vernon Parish Schools.
  • Activity is always monitored to keep students safe and systems secure.
  • Your data is protected under FERPA, COPPA, and Louisiana R.S. 17:100.7.

⚠️ If You Misuse It

  • Possible loss of device or internet privileges.
  • School discipline and/or payment for damage if caused by negligence.
